Glazed butter cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 300 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • powdered sugar
  • lemon juice
  • Food coloring
  • Sugar sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Cream the butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Add the salt and vanilla sugar. Finally, sift in the flour and quickly knead everything together. Chill the dough (approx. 1 hour). Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface and cut out the cookies. Bake at 180°C for approx. 10 minutes. Make a sugar glaze with the powdered sugar and a little lemon juice. Use only enough juice to make the glaze thick and spreadable. To make it look prettier, I add a little food coloring to the glaze. Cover the cookies with it and decorate with sugar sprinkles.
