Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g chicken wings
- 2 tbsp soy sauce, dark
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp dry sherry
- 1 tbsp oil, neutral in taste
- 1 tsp oil (sesame oil), dark
- 1 garlic clove(s), crushed
- 1 piece(s) fresh ginger, hazelnut-sized
- 1 pinch of five-spice powder
- e.g. coriander or parsley for garnishing
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes
Wash the chicken wings and pat dry. Mix all the remaining ingredients together and marinate the wings for about 2-3 hours. Then place the wings side by side on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes. Turn over, brush with the marinade, and roast for another 20 minutes, until the wings are a rich brown color and glazed. Serve warm, garnished with cilantro or parsley. Serve with rice.
