Gnocchi casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 red bell peppers cut into strips OR
  • 500 g broccoli, divided into florets
  • 400 g gnocchi
  • 40 g herb butter
  • 40 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 100 g cheese, grated Gouda
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with peppers, broccoli and cream sauce

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Cook broccoli in salted water for 5 minutes until al dente, then rinse and drain. Cook gnocchi for about 4 minutes, rinse and drain. Combine herb butter and flour in a saucepan, then foam until light and creamy. Stir in milk and cream. Simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, then stir in the cheese. Season to taste with salt, freshly ground pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg. Transfer vegetables and gnocchi to a baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
