Ingredients

  • 450 g Turkey breast fillet
  • 450 g Fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 4 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 25 g Flour
  • 500 ml Milk
  • Pepper, salt, nutmeg
  • 500 g Cooked gnocchi
  • 100 g Gouda cheese

Instructions

  • Wash the meat in cold water, dry it and cut it into bite-sized cubes, place in a bowl, season with pepper, salt and mix well. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Finely chop the garlic. Clean the spinach (if necessary, pluck off stalks that are too coarse), wash and spin dry. Coarsely grate the cheese. Cook the raw gnocchi until done. When using ready-made gnocchi from the supermarket, please follow the instructions on the packaging.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 °. Have a larger baking dish ready.
  • Fry the turkey cubes in a large pan in 2 tablespoons oil hot, briefly and spicy. Then immediately put back into the bowl and store briefly.
  • Put another 2 tablespoons of oil in the same pan and fry the onion and garlic until translucent. Then add the spinach in several portions one after the other and let it collapse, turning frequently. Season to taste with pepper, salt and nutmeg. When it has collapsed completely, add it to the meat cubes. Then add the cooked gnocchi, mix everything together well and place in the baking dish.
  • Now heat the butter in the pan, sprinkle in the flour while stirring and pour in the milk in several steps and stir in vigorously with a whisk. Between the individual additions of milk, stir the mixture until it is homogeneous before pouring it in, so that lumps are prevented from forming. Season this "bechamel sauce" with pepper, salt - and if you like - with a little nutmeg. The sauce should have a very creamy consistency, but not be custard-like.
  • Then pour the sauce over the contents of the baking dish and sprinkle the grated cheese over it. Put the casserole in the middle of the oven for 20-30 minutes. The cheese should be gratinated golden brown in places. Then ........ just let it taste. ......... n 'good'n ...
