Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 460 g gnocchi
- 1 m.-large onion(s), red
- 200 g fresh porcini mushrooms, alternatively mushrooms
- 100 ml cream
- 200 ml milk
- e.g. salt and pepper
- 40 g cranberries
- Fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Roughly dice the porcini mushrooms; halve or quarter the mushrooms depending on their size. Sauté the mushrooms with the diced onions. Once both are browned, add the milk and cream. Add the gnocchi and cranberries. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer gently over medium heat until the gnocchi are tender. If the sauce is too thick, thin with more milk; if it’s too thin, simmer the dish a little longer or thicken with a light sauce thickener until the desired consistency is reached. Taste again before serving.
