Gnocchi pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of bacon cubes (approx. 125 g)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • possibly oil for frying
  • 1 pack of gnocchi (from the refrigerated section, approx. 500 g each or homemade)
  • 50 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • pepper, black
  • possibly thyme
  • 100 g Gouda (medieval)
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook gnocchi according to the package instructions—or use homemade ones from the fridge. Place the bacon and diced onion in a nonstick pan over low heat, adding a little more oil if desired. Once the bacon is cooked through, add the gnocchi and brown slightly to taste. Grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the top (coarser or finer, depending on your taste) and let it melt. Roughly grind the pepper over the top and sprinkle with thyme (or other spices, according to your preference). Finally, arrange the Gouda cheese, cut into thick strips, on top and cover briefly so it melts slightly. If you like, you can crack an egg over the top.
