Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g flour
- 125 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 30 g cornstarch
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp ammonium bicarbonate
- ½ tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp vanilla powder

Crispy, thin Danish waffles
Mix all ingredients with a hand mixer until a smooth batter forms. At the same time, heat up a Gode Råd waffle iron (or a New Year’s waffle iron, ice cream waffle iron, or similar). When the iron is hot, place a heaped teaspoon of batter into the back third of the iron. Close the iron and bake for about half a minute. (Check frequently. Depending on the amount of batter, the Gode Råd waffles can overcook very quickly.) When the waffles are golden brown, carefully remove them from the iron and let them cool on a plate. While hot, the waffles can also be rolled, which makes them less fragile later on.
