Good start to the day-breakfast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp cereal flakes (5-grain flakes)
  • 1 tsp flaxseed, crushed
  • some water or milk
  • 1 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 tbsp walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 100 g yogurt, low-fat or low-fat quark or mixed
  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana(s)
  • Cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes

Mix the oats, five-grain flakes, and flaxseed in a bowl. Add enough water or milk to cover the mixture. It’s best to let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. If it gets too mushy, you can of course prepare it right before eating. Then add the chopped nuts and honey, grate in the apple with the skin, cut the banana into small pieces, and mix well. Finally, pour over the yogurt or quark and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Sugar isn’t really needed thanks to the sweetness of the honey. The muesli tastes delicious with all kinds of fruit (pears, berries, kiwi, grapes, tangerines, etc.).
