Gooseberry Crumble Cake
The perfect gooseberry crumble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 250 g Flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 25 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Egg
- 100 ml Warm milk
- 50 g Butter
For covering:
- 1 Glass Gooseberries
For the sprinkles:
- 150 g Flour
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 100 g Butter
For the dough:
- Sift the flour into a mixing bowl, add the dry yeast and mix.
- Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg, warm milk and butter and knead.
- Cover the dough and keep it warm for about 30 minutes until it has visibly enlarged.
- Knead the dough again with your hands on the work surface, then roll it out in a greased springform pan.
For covering:
- Drain the gooseberries from the glass well and spread them on the dough.
For the sprinkles:
- Sift the flour into a mixing bowl.
- Add sugar, vanilla sugar and butter and knead.
- Work the dough into sprinkles with your hands and spread over the gooseberries.
- Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
