Gooseberry Jam: Easy Recipe

Gooseberry Jam- materials required

You only need three ingredients for a very simple gooseberry jam recipe:

  • 1 kg of gooseberries
  • 1 lime
  • 500 g preserving sugar

This is how you succeed in making gooseberry jam

Before you start the cooking process, you need to destem the gooseberries and wash them thoroughly. Also, halve the berries.

  1. Put the halved and washed berries in a saucepan. Add jam sugar to the berries. Stir well.
  2. Bring the berries to a boil. Cook for about four minutes while stirring.
  3. Wash the lime and grate some zest. Halve the fruit and squeeze out the juice. Put the zest and juice in the saucepan. Stir well.
  4. Turn off the stove. Then puree the jam with a hand blender.
  5. Then pour the jam into sterilized jars. Seal the jars airtight and place them on the lid. Let the jars cool down well.
