Gorgonzola sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 50 ml milk
  • 80 g Gorgonzola
  • 1 tsp, beaten broth powder (clear broth)
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • Sauce thickener, light

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preparation is simple. Bring the cream and milk to a boil in a small saucepan. Once boiling, reduce heat to low. Stir in the Gorgonzola, stock, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until the mixture returns to a simmer and the Gorgonzola has melted. The Gorgonzola may make the sauce a little too salty, so simply add a little more milk. Thicken the sauce a little more with the sauce thickener until it is creamy enough. Tip: This sauce tastes best with pork or poultry. It goes well with fries, croquettes, or hash browns as a side dish, and depending on your time, a green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions might also be suitable.
