Grandma's apple pie

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter or margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 ml cream
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ kg apples (Boskoop) or other sour apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cream the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs. Then add the cream while stirring. Combine the flour with the baking powder and salt and gradually stir in with a tablespoon. Place the batter on a greased baking sheet and cover with apples, if desired. Alternatively, the cake tastes delicious with plums or cherries. If you like, sprinkle a little cinnamon on the batter and sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar or granulated sugar. Bake the cake at 180°C (fan oven, preheated to 180°C) for about 30 minutes.
