Grandma's Christmas cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles or colorful sprinkles
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Shortcrust pastry cookies like my grandmother always baked.

Knead all ingredients except the egg yolk and sprinkles together and roll out with a rolling pin (be careful to sprinkle flour under the dough, otherwise it will stick to the table!). Now cut out shapes. Brush the shapes with egg yolk and then, if desired, sprinkle with chocolate or colorful decorative sprinkles. Now you can carefully lift the cookies from the table with a knife, place them on a baking sheet, and bake at 170°C (350°F) until they are lightly browned. Note: This quantity is enough for about 1 tray of cookies. However, I always bake 10 times the amount. You only need 4 eggs for this, not 10!
