Grandma's cinnamon crumb cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 70 g butter, liquid
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g flour
  • 125 g sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Sift the flour and crumble in the yeast. Warm the milk until lukewarm. Add a pinch of sugar and all the milk and knead with the dough hook. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Then add salt, sugar, 1 egg, and melted butter. If the dough is too shiny, add a little more flour. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Roll out the dough to the size of a baking sheet and place it on the baking sheet. For the crumble, knead all the ingredients by hand and spread it over the dough. Bake the cake on the middle rack for 30 minutes. Tip: At Christmas time, I also like to use gingerbread spice. It’s easy to make and tastes delicious.
