old family recipe

Cut the endive into thin strips and wash it. Then soak the lettuce in warm water. This draws out the bitterness and makes it milder. Meanwhile, peel the onion and finely dice it. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan without adding any fat until crispy. For the salad dressing, combine all the other ingredients and season to taste. Spin the lettuce dry, toss with the diced onion and salad dressing. Finally, sprinkle the bacon cubes on top and enjoy.
