Grandma's green bean soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g meat (soup meat)
  • 4 pieces of sausage (Mettwurst)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 750 g beans, green
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • Broth (powder)
  • savory

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Place the meat in plenty of cold water and simmer gently until tender. Depending on the type of meat, this will take about 1.5 hours. Dice the bacon and onions, peel and dice the tomatoes. Slowly fry the bacon in a pan, then add the onions and tomatoes and sauté for about 15 minutes. Peel and dice the potatoes. Remove the meat from the broth, then add the potatoes, beans, tomatoes, and sausages and simmer for about 20 minutes until tender. Chop the meat into small pieces and add it back in. Season to taste, add chopped parsley, and serve.
