simple but so delicious

It’s best to make your own spaetzle first and keep it warm (note that this will also increase the overall preparation time). Dice the onion and sauté in a little oil until translucent, add the minced meat and cook. Then add the parsley (if using fresh, chop it finely before cooking). Now add the spaetzle (either homemade or from the refrigerated section) and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste. Either slice or dice the cucumber. Mix with the herb sour cream. Other dressings will work, of course, but I think the dish tastes best with sour cream or crème fraîche, especially if you pour some over the green spaetzle and mix it in. I personally associate this dish with very fond memories of my childhood and my grandmother, who made it regularly.
