- 1 bag(s) of gelling sugar, 3:1

The preparation of the grape juice is described in the recipe for Grape Jelly with Butter Vanilla Flavoring and Cardamom. Combine the grape juice, chili, and gelling sugar in a sufficiently large pot. Boil briskly for at least 5-6 minutes according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally. Then pour into jam jars, screw on the lids, and let stand with the lids on for about 5 minutes, then turn upside down.
