Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g grated cheese (pizza cheese, according to taste)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp milk or 3
  • breadcrumbs
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 18 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Halve the beefsteak tomatoes, hollow out the insides, and season with salt and pepper (or herbs if desired). Combine the cheese, egg, milk, and a pinch of salt. Fill the tomato halves with the mixture. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C (425°F) for 12 minutes on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (a casserole dish works well, too). A quick little snack!
