Greek farmer's salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ head of romaine lettuce
  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes (400 g)
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 2 small bell peppers, green
  • 2 small onions, white
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 100 g olives, black
  • 3 tbsp wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp oregano, dried
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Disassemble the lettuce, wash, tear into pieces, and drain. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and slice thinly. Wash the cucumber thoroughly, quarter lengthwise, and cut into larger cubes. Halve the bell peppers, trim, wash, and slice thinly. Peel the onions and slice finely. Dice the feta cheese into bite-sized pieces. For the marinade, mix the vinegar with the salt, pepper, and oregano until the salt is completely dissolved. Then stir in the olive oil. Combine all the salad ingredients except the feta cheese in a bowl. Add the marinade and mix well. Arrange the feta cubes on top of the salad.
