Greek meat skewers

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 2 kg lean meat, either beef fillet, pork loin or boneless lamb
  • 50 ml oil (olive oil)
  • 50 ml vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • 50 ml lemon juice
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped or squeezed
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

Souvlakia

Cut the meat into cubes. Mix the marinade ingredients and pour the marinade over the meat. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight. Drain the marinade. To grill, thread the meat onto oiled skewers and grill over medium heat.
