Greek sheep cheese from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g feta cheese, cut into 1 cm thick slices
  • 2 m.-large tomato(s), ripe, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 m.-large shallot(s), peeled and cut into wafer-thin slices
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Oregano, dried
  • some olive oil, cold squeezed

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Feta and Furno

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Spread the feta on 4 (30 cm x 30 cm) oiled aluminum foil sheets (shiny side). Cover with tomato and shallot slices. Season with pepper, oregano, and paprika. Drizzle with a little olive oil and seal the foil. Place the parcels in the oven and bake for 13-15 minutes. Serve with fresh white bread and Greek white wine.
