Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 500 g minced meat
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 1 pc. puff pastry
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • Rosemary for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Brown the onion and minced meat until crumbly, season well, and stir in the diced feta cheese. Fill the thawed puff pastry with the minced meat and fold it into a pocket. To prevent the pockets from opening during baking, brush the edges of the pastry with egg white and press them shut. Press a pattern into the edges with a fork. Brush the pockets with egg yolk and sprinkle with rosemary. Pierce a few holes in the pastry with a fork. Then place the whole thing in a hot oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. A shepherd’s salad goes well with it. Tip: The minced meat also tastes great eaten simply with flatbread.
