Greek-spiced, quick minced meat dish

Soak the stale bread roll in warm water and then squeeze out the excess water. Make a savory meatball dough from the bread roll mixture, the ground beef, diced onions, egg, and seasonings. Cut the feta into cubes approximately 1.5 x 1.5 cm. Form the meatball dough into small balls and place a feta cube in the center of each. Deep-fry the balls in batches in 170°C hot oil for about 4-6 minutes, depending on the size of the balls. Drain on kitchen paper. If you don’t want to use a deep fryer, you can also fry the balls in a pan until golden brown. The balls are delicious hot or cold, with tzatziki, a Greek salad, etc.
