Green beans with sesame dressing

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 100 g beans, green
  • salt water
  • 3 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Japanese side dish recipe

Trim the ends of the beans and place them in boiling salted water for a few minutes until the beans reach the desired tenderness. Then rinse them in cold water, dry thoroughly, and halve them. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without adding oil for one to two minutes until they develop a roasted aroma. Immediately crush them in a mortar and pestle. When the consistency is somewhat (but not too much!) like a paste and there are still sesame pieces in it, add the oil, soy sauce, and sugar and stir to combine. Then mix the marinade with the beans. Goes well with fish!
