Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large cuttlefish, gutted
  • 1 lemon(s) (organic)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, pull the cuttlefish’s arms out of the entrails. Then cut them off behind the eyes and save the arms, discarding the head and eyes. Cut off and discard the two long tentacles. Remove and discard the chewing tools (parrot beaks) in the mouth opening between the arms. Trim off any dark spots on the fins. Then, be sure to wash the cuttlefish thoroughly under running water. Sear the cuttlefish on a hot charcoal grill for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Slice the lemon and serve with the squid. Drizzle with lemon juice before eating.
