Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 4 sausages, coarse
  • 4 rolls, hot dog
  • 4 gherkins
  • 4 tsp mustard
  • Tomato ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Grill them on an aluminum grill pan on the hot grill for about 15 minutes, turning them frequently. Grill the sausages on the grill rack for 15-20 minutes on all sides. Briefly bake the buns. Drain the gherkins and slice them. Make several diagonal cuts on one side of the sausages, spread mustard into the cuts. Cut open the buns, place a sausage on each side, arrange onion rings and cucumber slices on top, and drizzle with ketchup to taste. Fold the tops of the buns over the meat and serve.
