Grilled Tomatoes for Franzi

The perfect grilled tomatoes for franzi recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 piece Beefsteak tomatoes, medium size
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Grated cheese – Parmesan or a mixture with Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp Fresh smooth parsley
  • 1 pinch Dried thyme
  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  1. Cut the tomatoes in half – if the halves do not stand well, carefully cut flat at the bottom.
  2. Mix the breadcrumbs, cheese, chopped parsley, crumbled thyme together (can also be mixed in the moulinette – then you don’t need to chop the parsley). Taste variation: add a little rosemary or garlic;)
  3. Then mix the mixture with as much olive oil (or basil or rosemary oil) until the crumbs hold together loosely.
  4. Put the mixture on the cut surface of the tomatoes and put them all in an oiled tin.
  5. Bake in the oven at 180 – 200 ° C until the desired browning is achieved.
