Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g flour
  • 1 point dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 175 ml water, lukewarm
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g minute steak(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 2 tsp, heaped paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp, heaped cumin, ground
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 cup of tzatziki or gyro cream
  • some pepper
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

First, mix the flour with the yeast, salt, and sugar. Now add the water and 3 tablespoons of olive oil and knead into a dough. Place a damp cloth over the bowl and set aside. Cut the minute steaks into wafer-thin strips and the onion into rings, and place both in a bowl. Now add the oregano, thyme, paprika, cumin, mustard, salt, and pepper to taste. Crush the garlic and add it as well. Pour over the olive oil and mix everything well. Lightly fry the mixture in a pan until the meat is cooked through but not browned. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Roll out the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread with tzatziki. I always use gyro cream, as I personally prefer it. Remove the meat and onions from the pan and spread it on the pizza, carefully so that too much oil doesn’t get on the pizza. Now sprinkle the cheese over it and put it in the oven. After about 15-20 minutes, take it out of the oven and enjoy.
