Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 1 kg gyros meat
- 4 cups of cream
- 2 bags of soup (onion soup)
- 4 bell peppers, 2 green and 2 red each
- 1 ½ bottles of Hungarian-style paprika sauce
- ½ bottle of chili sauce
- Water 0.5-1 l water
- 2 cans of corn
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 30 minutes
Brown the gyros, pour the cream over them, and let them simmer overnight. Cook the onion soup according to the instructions, adding the chopped bell peppers. Add the paprika sauce, chili sauce, water, and corn, and heat gently. Finally, add the gyros and cream mixture and season to taste. Serve with flatbread and shepherd’s salad.
