Gyros Made from Soy Strips

The perfect gyros made from soy strips recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 240 g Soy shredded dry
  • 8 tsp Mushroom soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Rosemary
  • 1 piece Fresh onion

Boil rice

  1. If there is to be rice, it should first be cooked according to the instructions.

Marinate

  1. Let the soy shredded soak / soak in hot water or hot broth for at least 10 minutes. Then drain the schnitzel and collect the broth. Then add all the ingredients (except the onion) and the broth to mix in again and mix well.
  2. The marinated schnitzel can be fried after about 10 minutes. Chop / dice the onion and fry with the schnitzel. I personally like tsaziki with gyros, you can find the recipe in my cookbook.
