Halloumi Hash Browns

The perfect halloumi hash browns recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Zucchini fresh
  • 200 g Orange sweet potatoes
  • 225 g Halloumi cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 250 g Herb quark
  • 1 tsp Harissa paste
  1. Clean or peel the zucchini and sweet potato, roughly grate with the halloumi, mix the egg, season with a little salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan. Spread half of the mixture into about 5 hash browns in the pan, squeeze gently and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy. Remove, drain on kitchen paper, on one side Keep the tray warm in a hot oven at 100 degrees. Fry 5 more hash browns from the remaining mixture.
  3. Mix the herb quark with the harissa paste and serve with it.
