Halloumi & Tomato Pitta

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 leaves of lettuce (romaine lettuce)
  • 1 tomato(s), sliced
  • 1 slice(s) onion(s), thin, cut into rings
  • 1 sprig(s) mint, fresh, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 3 slice(s) cheese (halloumi), thick
  • 1 bread(s) (pitta bread)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the grill. Place the lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and mint in a bowl and toss well with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place the halloumi slices on baking paper and grill for 2 minutes. Turn over and grill for another minute. Briefly place the pitta under the grill. Fill the pitta with cheese and lettuce, and enjoy immediately.
