Ingredients

  • 1 Bun rye bun
  • Butter for brushing
  • 1 disc Medium-Aged Gouda - approx. 120 g
  • 1 small Pickled cucumber
  • 1 small Cocktail tomato
  • 1 blob Mustard
  • Onion rings
  • 1 Radishes in pens

Instructions

  • There is probably no inn in Cologne and the surrounding area where this specialty is not on the menu.
  • And many a tourist has sat in front of his cheese roll with a disappointed expression, because he actually wanted to eat a good piece of meat - after all, he has ordered a "Halven Hahn" ** smile **!
  • And this is how it is made: cut the roll in half and brush with butter, then cover with the thick slice of cheese, garnish with the pickled cucumber, the tomato and a dollop of mustard. Put the onion rings on top of the cheese and the radish sticks on top of the onion rings. If you like, sprinkle a pinch of hot paprika over it.
