Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml sunflower oil
  • 180 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 200 g fig(s), fresh
  • 100 g raw ham (thin slices)
  • 100 g cheese, grated Emmental
  • some salt
  • some pepper, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Line a 25 cm long loaf pan with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat the eggs with the oil until frothy. Gradually stir in the flour, baking powder, a pinch of sugar, and the milk. Wash the figs and cut them into thin slices. Cut the ham into strips about 1 cm wide. Fold the figs, ham, and cheese into the batter. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a hot oven (center, fan oven 160°C) for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
