Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 100 ml milk or cream
  • 1 tsp, heaped pesto, green
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan, freshly grated
  • pepper
  • some nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Super quick sauce for pasta, gnocchi, tortellini, etc.

First, cut the cooked ham into small cubes, then fry it in butter. Meanwhile, grate the Parmesan cheese and mix it with the egg yolk, nutmeg, and cream. Deglaze the browned ham with about 100 ml of milk or cream and stir in the pesto. Reduce the heat and stir in the pesto-cream mixture. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Season with pepper. Salt isn’t really necessary, as the pesto and ham are already somewhat salty.
