Ham-wrapped Squid

The perfect ham-wrapped squid recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 g Brussels sprouts fresh / cleaned
  • 500 g Squid fillet
  • 200 g Black Forest ham or something similar
  • Salt, pepper, cream

preparation

  1. Wrap the squid in ham and secure with a toothpick
  2. Clean the Brussels sprouts and cook them in salted water until soft

preparation

  1. Fry the squid rolls on all sides for about 1 minute, then remove the toothpicks
  2. Puree the Brussels sprouts with a hand blender, season to taste (if you like, add cream)

Serving

  1. Arrange the squid rolls on a Brussels sprouts mirror
  2. This goes well with jacket potatoes, boiled “triplets” or potato noodles
