Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Gently warm the milk, water, and butter together in a saucepan (do not boil!). Add the dried yeast, sugar, salt, and egg to the warm milk mixture and mix well. Add the flour and knead well. If the dough is still too sticky, simply add a little more flour. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. During this time, the dough will increase in volume. After 30 minutes, shape the dough into the desired roll shape, press the top into sesame seeds, sprinkle with a little water, and let rise for another 15-30 minutes. Bake at 200°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes until golden brown. When filled to the brim, the cup holds 200 ml, or 125 g, of flour. Makes 8 rolls.
