Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 cup sour cream or crème fraîche
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 5 gherkins
- 1 dashes vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves, more or less to taste
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Chop the gherkins and mix with all the liquid ingredients in a container or bowl. Squeeze in the garlic and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper and let it simmer. Adjust seasoning if desired. This recipe makes enough for 4 large or 6 small burgers. There’s always a little leftover, though. We prepare everything in a sealable container so we can spread any leftovers on bread or a sandwich the next day.
