Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100 g ham, diced, cooked
  • 150 g pineapple, sliced, from can
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper
  • 60 ml oil
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g cheese, grated (e.g. Emmenthaler, Maasdammer or Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine flour, baking powder, ham, pineapple, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Combine oil, milk, and egg in a slightly larger bowl. Then pour the contents of the smaller bowl into the larger bowl and mix. Divide the batter among the ramekins and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C (400°F) for 20 to 25 minutes.
