Hawaiian Schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 pork schnitzels
  • 8 slice(s) pineapple (from the can)
  • 2 packs of grated cheese (Gouda or Emmental)
  • 3 cups whipped cream
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • oregano
  • Frozen herbs (salad herbs)
  • curry
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Season the schnitzels with salt, curry, and a little pepper on both sides. Add a little oil to two pans, heat on the lowest heat for gas or to about level 4 for electric. Add the meat, cover, and sauté for about 5 minutes (do not fry). Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, add the herbs, and season with salt, pepper, and curry. Then, place a slice of pineapple on each schnitzel and sprinkle with as much cheese as you like; I usually use a handful for each schnitzel. Cover again and let the cheese melt for another 5 minutes. Spätzle and salad make excellent side dishes.
