Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 150 g nuts, grated
  • 30 g cornstarch (Mondamin)
  • 50 hazelnuts, whole
  • 50 wafers, small

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

simple but very tasty hazelnut cookies

Preheat the oven to 150°C (top and bottom heat). Lightly toast the ground nuts in a dry pan, but do not let them burn. Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until stiff. Sift the powdered sugar and fold it into the egg whites along with the grated and roasted nuts and the Mondamin. Place a teaspoon of batter on each wafer and press a nut into the mixture. Depending on how much batter you put on the wafers, you’ll get about 50 cookies—sometimes more, sometimes less. Bake for about 20 minutes.
