Health That’s What The Water On The Yoghurt Is For

Water often settles above the yoghurt, which in most cases ends up directly in the drain. Why this is a big mistake – and why this part of the yoghurt is particularly healthy.

Many eat yoghurt every day. One process is so automated that we no longer really notice it: We open the yoghurt, go to the sink, turn the cup over once and pour out the stale water. This – for many disgusting – deposits of liquid can be observed particularly with set yoghurt.

There is no reason to be disgusted by the liquid on the yoghurt. On the contrary: We should even eat them consciously.

Yoghurt is a natural product. So it is quite normal that it is not completely uniform in consistency and appearance. Depending on the type of production and storage, water can quickly settle on the surface of the yoghurt.

The liquid is called milk serum and should never be thrown away! Because this part of the yoghurt contains important nutrients such as proteins and vitamins. Not to be forgotten are the lactic acid bacteria in the water. They are good for our intestinal flora, which in turn is important for a good immune system. (By the way, the intestines are also involved in the weight loss process: permanently slim: this is how the intestinal flora helps with weight loss)

If you are still disgusted by the water on the yoghurt, you don’t have to eat it straight – if you stir it in, you won’t notice anything. And so you do something for your health at the same time!
