Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 6 slices of toast, wholemeal if desired
- 6 slices of cooked ham
- 160 g mushrooms, fresh or from the can
- 2 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
- 6 spring onions
- 4 eggs
- 300 ml milk, low-fat
- 60 g cheese (Gouda), grated
- n. B. Cress
- Salt and pepper , , pepper
- nutmeg
- possibly garlic
- Fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Toast the bread and cut it in half diagonally. Quarter the cooked ham, and wash and thinly slice the (fresh) mushrooms. Brown the mushrooms on both sides in a non-stick pan with hot oil, then season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Thinly slice the spring onions. Layer all ingredients in a greased baking dish in a layered pattern. Whisk the eggs, milk, a little salt, pepper, and nutmeg (or crushed garlic), and spread evenly over the top. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake on the lowest rack in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle with cress to serve.
