Hearty Bread Casserole
The perfect hearty bread casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

- 6 disc Stale bread
- Herb butter

- 1 Onion
- 1 Clove of garlic
- 2 Cans Chunky tomatoes
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sugar
- 3 Stems Chopped basil
aside from that
- 300 g Cooked ham
- 100 g Grated cheese
sauce
- Peel the onion and garlic, cut into small cubes and sauté with a little oil –
- Now add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and a little sugar and simmer for about 5 minutes and add the chopped basil.

- Halve the bread, brush with a little herb butter and fry on both sides in a pan,
- Grease a baking dish and alternately layer the bread and the halved ham
- Now pour the tomato sauce over it, sprinkle with the cheese and then put it in the 160c. warm oven for about 15 minutes
- Take out the casserole, let it rest a little and then arrange on a plate with a little basil – Bon appetit; 🙂
