Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 5 sausages (Polish country sausages)
  • 3 bell peppers, red and yellow
  • 2 carrots
  • n. B. Ham, lean, cut into strips
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • e.g. parsley, flat
  • some tomato paste
  • some paprika paste
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped, approx. 400 g
  • 1 liter of broth
  • 1 tsp caraway powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Brown the minced meat in a sufficiently large pot. Add the caraway powder, marjoram, paprika powder, a little salt, and pepper. Finely chop the onion and garlic, add it, and fry briefly. Chop one Polish country sausage into small pieces and add it to the pot along with the ham strips. Brown everything briefly. Add the tomato paste and paprika paste and fry briefly. Deglaze with the stock. Chop the peppers, potatoes, and carrots and add them to the pot along with the chopped tomatoes and a pinch of sugar. Pierce the remaining four Polish country sausages with a knife and add them to the pot. Add the chopped parsley. Simmer everything on low heat for 45 minutes.
