Hearty French toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tomatoes, small
  • basil
  • 8 slices of toast
  • 250g mozzarella
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 3 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 0.38 liters of milk
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 21 minutes

with mozzarella, tomatoes and cooked ham

Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin slices. Top 4 slices of toast with tomatoes, mozzarella, cooked ham, and basil. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper. Top each slice with a slice of toast. Mix the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper and coat the toasted slices in it, pressing the edges together slightly. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the toast for 2-3 minutes on each side.
