Hearty hearts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g honey, liquid
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pack of flavoring (orange baking)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 50 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 100 g semi-sweet chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes about 80 pieces

Cream together butter, sugar, and honey. Add the egg. Add the flour, baking powder, and orange zest and knead into a dough. Chill for 30 minutes. Cut out hearts from the dough. The honey makes the dough sticky, so I simply added a little more flour. Mix the egg yolk and milk, brush over the hearts, and sprinkle with the oatmeal. Bake at 175°C for about 10-12 minutes. Decorate the cooled hearts with the warmed chocolate coating.
