  • 250 g cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble in the yeast, warm the milk. Add 3 tablespoons of milk to the yeast, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Dissolve the margarine in the remaining milk, add a pinch of salt and 125 ml of water, and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (gas mark 3, fan oven 180 degrees). In the meantime, cut the onion into rings and the ham into cubes. Sauté the ham cubes in a non-stick pan and remove from the pan. Add the onion rings and fry until golden brown. Mix the sour cream, eggs, caraway seeds, cheese, salt, and pepper. Roll out the yeast dough to the size of a baking sheet and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking foil. Spread the onions over the dough. Sprinkle the ham cubes on top. Pour the cream and egg mixture over it and bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack at 200 degrees (gas mark 3, fan oven 160 degrees) for about 35 minutes.
