Hearty potato and sauerkraut pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 apple
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 class can/n sauerkraut (314 ml)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 liter of water
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g sausages (Debrecziner)
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • Paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the onions and potatoes. Peel the apple and core it. Wash and trim the bell pepper. Cut everything into small cubes. Slice the sausages. Heat oil in a pan. Lightly fry the onion and sausage. Then add water, potatoes, apple, bell pepper, and sauerkraut. Season to taste and simmer for about 20 minutes. Season again and serve garnished with crème fraîche.
